We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and friendly Marketing Assistant who ideally has experience in landscape architecture/architecture.
The role will report to the Associate-Marketing & BD and prepare marketing collateral for promoting the company through social media platforms, newsletters, websites, and other digital outlets, as well as in print for Awards, Bids, and Events. Your graphic design expertise will be valuable in suggesting and developing new ideas to improve marketing effectiveness when required.
This position reports to the Associate—Marketing & BD, who is based in the UK and is under the direction of the Group Design Director & Board. It supports all the Group’s offices.
The position will be based in Manila/Cracknell’s Makati Studio, either at home or in the office.
Primary Activities:
- Develop sound understanding of the Company Brand, Story, Mission, Vision and Values.
- Prepare and posts high quality, innovative and competitive social media and press campaigns in line with the agreed calendar and under the supervision of the Associate-Marketing & BD.
- Prepare monthly report with measurable stats on social media performance.
- Contribute regularly to website updates and changes. Contributes to intranet design and takes responsibility for marketing updates.
- Prepare high quality project sheets and CVs to template under the supervision of the Associate-Marketing & BD.
- Communicate regularly with all staff and prepares social media posts and articles for the press in line with agreed marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate marketing photography needs, permission requests, quality control and metatagging for the image library.
- Assist with Awards submissions, events, PR and presentation preparation as necessary.
- Coordinate with all staff disciplines, e.g. architects, graphic artists, quantity surveyors, engineers, landscape designers, urban designers, etc.
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to tell a story, to research and extract the right information to create a compelling narrative to support the marketing strategy.
- Good understanding of AEC disciplines and industry and an awareness of related environmental and technical issues. A willingness to learn and conduct regular research online on industry developments, events and innovation. A keen eye for new marketing and business opportunities. Analysis skills to understand the competition or opportunities to collaborate.
- Creative, innovative and engaging written and graphic presentation skills to compete in the market and inspire new audience engagement.
- Ability to work effectively as part a multi-disciplinary team; own tasks and accept accountability for assigned works and deliverables; ability to use effective self-discipline, problem-solving and task prioritisation to manage timely execution of work, complete deliverables and meet deadlines, while developing project management skills.
- A friendly and approachable manner at all times-an ability to be sensitive to and navigate around the design teams’ tight deadlines and project priorities to ensure the marketing strategy stays on track.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills – good Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects skills essential. Good use of MS Office and knowledge of latest design tools and technologies. Some knowledge of SEO/SEM techniques an advantage.
- Working knowledge of worldwide statutory copyright legislation, an understanding of commercial/legal confidentiality requirements and privacy/duty of care requirements to clients, staff and public.
- Ability to translate brand story and company vision, mission and goals into creative, consistent and professional marketing messages and graphics to support the company marketing strategy, business plan and recruitment goals.
- Experience in use of LinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook for design industry marketing. Experience of Hootsuite or similar to coordinate social media calendar and MailChimp or similar for newsletter marketing.
- Knowledge of WordPress an advantage
- Knowledge of video editing, blogging, podcasting an advantage
Management and Corporate Competencies:
- Accuracy, Precision, excellent eye for detail.
- Effective and creative communication skills (verbal, written and graphic) in English. Excellent vocabulary and accurate written English is a must.

Position Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) or BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture/Architecture/Urban Planning/Graphic Design/Marketing or equivalent.
- 2 years post-graduate experience in an architecture/landscape architecture practice or related AEC or graphics industry.
- An understanding of social media and digital communication trends in the MENA region, UK and Europe would be an advantage.
